  • Commission contributors to the series

  • Oversees editorial development, conference organization, and cultural programming

  • Provide developmental feedback on manuscripts

  • Coordinate peer review and revisions

  • Work with the publisher to prepare manuscripts for publication and promote series additions

In 2024, the book series was launched with an international symposium exploring the desert as a powerful philosophical concept shaped by modern ideas of the human and nature.

Bringing together perspectives on technology, posthumanism, and cultural theory, it examined how the symbolic meaning of the desert might evolve in an era defined by biotechnology, digital innovation, and machine intelligence.
