Highlights

The 1st festival created a new platform for literary culture in the Hi-Desert region and connected local audiences with writers from various fiction (Westerns, Romance, Desert Noir; Poetry; UFO Literature ) and non-fiction (Regional History; Ecology; Zines) genres.

The Twentynine Palms Book Festival is a regional literary event dedicated to bringing writers, readers, and publishers together in the Hi-Desert. Through panel discussions, author conversations, and community programming, the festival fosters dialogue about literature, storytelling, and the evolving role of books in contemporary culture. The event aims to expand access to literary culture while strengthening connections between local and national writers.
